'Have a Go Surf Day' - Tuesday 20th November

Our brave Te Kauru kids headed out to Ahipara on Tuesday 20th November to take part in the Surf NZ Have a Go Surf Day. The day was wet and a little wild but our students were not perturbed and they were all keen and ready to go! In the end the weather was very kind to us and the sun came out to allow all our students to have a go at surfing! They had a go and absolutely loved it! A huge thanks to the Surf Bro team for delivering such a a wonderful experience for our students and to Surf NZ for securing the funding to enable us to take part for free. Kei te pai!

  1. Nga mihi nui ki a koutou te Kauru roopu. Once again, my students are super jealous that you all get to go surfing. One student in particular wants to change schools immediately. First the school camp, and now surfing school...wonder what's next?
It looked like you all had a blast, with many of you successfully standing on your boards and catching some waves. We should organise an inter-school visit or something...well these guys want to come visit. They're a crazy lot, so I'm not sure you'd want them. They're currently leaving messages on your blogs. Have a great holiday. 10 days and counting.
    Nga mihi

    1. Arohamai we moved rooms this year...I'm still getting use to calling our class room 3 - hence the wrong room number.
